  • Understanding Catch-All Accounts

    I am trying to clean up some year-end things, and I have some items from December in the Catch-All account. How do I trace these back in SherWare to find out what they are? How do I fix the account designation so that these revenues/expenses are correctly allocated in the future?

    If you're looking at the catch-all account on a QuickBooks report, you should be able to double click on the amounts, which will take you back to the original transaction from which it was entered. By looking at that transaction, you should be able to see some comments in the memo that will clue you in to where it came from.
