How to Copy DOI
Transferring DOI & SuspenseAfter you mark the option to transfer history you have to choose a run number to transfer the history as of. It will then transfer all suspense history back to the run that you chose. If you did not choose a run far enough back then it would not have transferred the suspense. You can transfer the interest again and mark the option to include suspense history. Be sure to change the run to be the run farthest back that makes up his current suspense balance.

Depends on what you want to accomplish... if you want the past history for this interest to remain with the original owner, and only transfer the suspense balance to the new owners, then follow these instructions:
- Use the Transfer DOI Between Owners utility to transfer the interest from the original owner to the two new owners. Do NOT check the option to Include Owner and Suspense History. This will transfer the interest in the well to the two new owners, and they will begin receiving revenue for this new interest during the next run closing.
- From the Suspense History screen, create 2 new records, one for each of the new owners. Calculate how much is owed to each of the new owners based on how much was in suspense for the original owner.
- From the Utilities menu, choose Clear Owner Suspense. Enter the original owner's id, and then the well id of this particular well. Do NOT check the option to Create Check if Balance is Positive. This will clear the owner's suspense balance in that well.
...if you want the past history, and suspense entries to be transferred from the original owner to the two new owners in addition to the interest, follow these instructions:
- Use the Transfer DOI Between Owners utility to transfer the interest in the well from the original owner to the two new owners. Check the option to Include Owner and Suspense History, and then choose the run closing from June of 2006. All held suspense that is transferred to the new owners will be paid out during the next revenue run closing.
