Open Company

Displays a list of all companies setup within SherWare along with the Data File Path to each company. Select the desired company then press OK to open it. Pressing Cancel will leave the company open that was active when you opened this window.

This will only display companies that have been created with the "Setup a New Company" window.

Updating the Data File Path for a company:
If you would like to change the location of the data for the company you can do so by copy/pasting the data folder for the respective company to the new location. Then go to the "Company Information" window under the Maintain menu and update the "Data File Path" field with the new path. Once this is saved you can reopen the company and it will open it with the new path. You can then delete the old folder from the original location since it is not needed.

Data for company not found...:
This warning message will appear when opening the software if the data is not located in the specified path. If you get this message you will need to figure out where the data is and point the company to that path, or move the data so that it resides in the specified path.
You are not able to change the path on this window, and you are not able to open the company to change the path on the company information window. You will need to "Delete Company", and then "Setup a New Company" and point to existing data, then point to the location that the data currently resides. Once this is done you will be able to open the company. Both "Delete Company" and "Setup a New Company" windows are located under the File menu in SherWare.
