Send File to SherWare

This window is used to send a File to SherWare support. This will only be used at the request of SherWare. This will allow you to send a larger file to us than you would via email. Information sent with this method is deleted, so this should not be used for your normal backup routine.

Once the file has finished sending, it is a good idea to send an e-mail to Support and let them know that the file is sent.

File to Upload
Browse (…) to the location of the file that should be uploaded. Once the file is chosen, then click Upload File. Once the file is sent, it is a good idea to send an e-mail to Support and let them know that the file is sent.

Sending a .QBW File
You can send any file with this window. Generally it is used to send a backup of Your QuickBooks data when it is needed for SherWare support to look into a support incident that you have. You can select the .QBW file itself and send it as long as the respective company is not open in QuickBooks when you do so. If the .QBW file is large then you can create a backup in QuickBooks, then select the .QBB file to send to us. Make sure that the support representative that is working with you knows the version of QuickBooks you are using and has the login information to restore the data.
