House Gas

The House Gas processing is an optional module. Your software will not have the ability to create House Gas Invoices unless you have purchased this module. If you did not purchase it then you may not be able to see this tab in the preferences. Contact SherWare Support if you are interested in adding this capability.

Receivable Account
The receivable account is the A/R account that will be used for posting owner house gas invoices as well as the payments against those invoices.

Sales QB Item
Choose the QuickBooks item you would like to be used on the house gas invoices that are posted to QuickBooks. You must have an item defined in QuickBooks with a type of non-inventory part in order for it to appear in this pull-down menu.

Gas Price
The default price that will automatically fill in as you enter each month's meter readings. This can be updated before each month's readings are entered so that you don't have to key in the price for each of them. This price can be overwritten while entering the meter reading.

Default Terms
The terms that you are extending to your owners after they have exceeded the yearly allocation and are receiving invoices for their usage. The available terms are defined under the Maintain/Terms Codes screen.

First Month of Year
Select the first month of your year. This will be used as the starting month when calculating the yearly usage for an owner.

Extra Charge/Description
Allows you to add a flat recurring charge to each owner. Enter the amount and description for a recurring charge that will be charged to all owners, regardless of usage. This could be a minimum usage fee, administrative fee, etc.

Show PSI on Reading Entry Screen
This option determines whether the PSI should be shown on the meter entry window, along with the reading. If left unchecked, only the reading will be displayed on the meter entry screen.

Invoice Notes
The invoice notes will appear at the bottom of each owner's statement or invoice. These can be used for any communication that you want to relay to all of your customers.
