Convert Previous Version Data Files

This window allows you to convert data that was from version 2 of the Disbursement & JIB Manager Special Edition for QuickBooks Users so that it can be used in version 3.

MAKE SURE ALL USERS ARE OUT OF THE SOFTWARE BEFORE CONVERTING!

Step 1: Locate where the old version is installed
You need to specify where the old software (version 2) is installed. This will be looking for two "compmast" files. The folder that you choose here should have both the "compmast.cdx" and the "compmast.dbf" files located within it. This folder will most commonly be named "DMPro2004" or "DMPRO." If you don't know where this location is, right click on the Disbursement Manager icon on your desktop and choose properties. The location will be specified in the "Start In" folder.

Step 2: Select the company to be converted
Once the folder in Step 1 is specified, a list of companies can be chosen from this drop down. Choose the company that you would like to convert to version 3.

Step 3: Select the location for the new files
Choose the data path that you would like the new (version 3) data files to be stored in. A default path will fill in but you can change it if you feel this is necessary.

The data in the old location will remain unchanged. Only the data in the new location will be updated to version 3.

If any files are already located in the new location they will be replaced.
