Pay Bills

Any bills entered in SherWare on the Enter Bills screen will post to QuickBooks as bills as soon as they are saved. You will pay these bills directly in QuickBooks.

To pay a bill you can choose "Pay Bills" from the "Vendor" menu. Mark the bill(s) that you want to pay then press the "Pay Selected Bills" button. This will create a check. You can print the check by pressing the "Print Checks" button on the screen that appears immediately after paying the bill.

Once a bill has been paid in QuickBooks, you will not be able to modify that bill in SherWare. Any bills that have been paid in QuickBooks will appear in SherWare's Enter Bills screen with 'BILL PAID' shown at the bottom of the bill.

Expenses that were paid for with a Credit Card
When using your credit card for expenses you can enter the expenses on the Enter Bills window like you normally would any other bill. You will then use the Pay Bills window in QuickBooks to apply these charges to the credit card. When you pay the bill change the "Method" field to be "Credit Card" instead of check. It will then post the amount of the bill to your credit card account.
