Merging Records
You can merge two records in QuickBooks by changing the name of the record that you do not want to keep to be the same as the record that you do want to keep. When you do this, it will give you a message saying that the name is already used and asking if you want to merge them. Choose Yes and the two records will be merged.
You will need to be in Single User Mode in order to do this.
Generally you will merge records if you received a 3100 error when synchronizing. After changing the name so that you can successfully synchronize you will then have 2 records for the same entity. If you have this situation then you can merge the duplicate records so the old name is merged with the new name added by SherWare.
