Lease Information

The lease information window is where all information about a lease is stored. This Lease Information screen stores the same leases that are entered in the Lease Information screen found under the Maintain menu.

Lease ID
Enter a 1-10 character lease ID code for this land record. Enter a Well ID that is already set up in the well information screen if you would like to expense these delay rental payments. If this field is updated it will also update the ID for any Lease Obligations that have already been attached to this lease.

Prospect
Prospect this lease is associated with. Informational only.

Lease Name
The name by which this lease is referred. The lease name will fill in automatically if an ID was entered in the Lease ID field that is the same as a Well ID that is already set up.

County/State
The county and state where this lease is located.

Township
The township the lease is in.

Agent
The agent for this lease.

Gross Acres
The gross acreage of the lease.

Net Acres
The net acreage of the lease.

Lease Status
The status of this lease. The available choices are Active, Expired, HBP, Paid Up and Sold.

Amended
Mark this option as a reference if the lease has been amended.

Lease Date
The date the lease was acquired.

Lease Term(Yrs.)
The length of the lease term in years.

Lease Term(Mos.)
The length of the lease term in months.

Expires
The date that the lease expires.

Recording Date
The date the lease was recorded.

Book/Page
The book and page where this lease is recorded.

Instrument No.
The number of the instrument associated with this lease if the records are stored electronically.

RRC Lease Number/RRC District Number
Used for creating Texas State Compliance Reports.

Payment Frequency
The frequency of payments for this lease.

Payments Start
The beginning date of the payments for this lease.

Next Payment Due
The date the next delay rental payment is due on this lease.

Consolidation Reference
The book and page number where the consolidation of leases is recorded.

Consol Recorded
The date the consolidation of leases was recorded.

Legal Description
The legal description of the lease can be recorded here.
