Creating State 1099 File

A State 1099 file has to be created before any State 1099s can be printed. To create the file for State 1099 processing, choose Reports> 1099 Processing> Create State 1099 File from the menu.

Enter the year for which you wish to create the file. Next, click on the Create button. A file is then created that contains a State 1099 record for each owner and vendor that are designated to receive 1099s.

The State 1099 File is built based on the 1099 detail file. So you will have to build the regular 1099s before creating the state file.
