Toolbar Buttons

The toolbar is the primary tool you will use to create, find, and edit records on the various windows within the software.

The toolbar is generally located at the top of the software just below the menus. If it is not visible you can bring it back up from the file menu by selecting View Toolbars then selecting the Primary Navigation Toolbar.

You can drag the toolbar to be located anywhere on your screen.

You can dock the toolbar under the menus by dragging it up underneath them until it docks.

New - White sheet of paper with a bent corner
Creates a new record. You will have to press this prior to creating a new record on most windows within the software.

Edit - A hand writing on paper
Allows you to edit a record. You will have to press this button prior to making changes to a record on any window within the software. This button is only enabled if edit mode is turned on. Edit mode can be enabled or disabled from the Misc Preferences window.

Delete - A red X
Deletes the visible record on the window.

Print - A printer with a page coming out the top
Prints the current record. Most windows will not use this icon.

Cut - A pair of scissors
Removes highlighted text and places it on the clipboard. This is the same as pressing Ctrl+X on your keyboard.

Copy - Two pages side by side
Leaves highlighted text as it is while also transferring a copy of it onto the clipboard. This is the same as pressing Ctrl+C on your keyboard.

Paste - A clipboard with a page attached to it.
Moves the information that is on the clipboard from either copying or pasting and places it in the selected field. The same as pressing Ctrl+V on your keyboard.

Undo - A curved blue arrow to the left
Reverses the last change done to the window.

Redo - A curved blue arrow to the right
Restores the last change that was made back to what it originally was before you pressed the undo button.

First - A vertical line with the triangle beside it that is pointing to the left.
Takes you to the first record in the list of records for the window that is open.

Previous - A single triangle pointing to the left
Takes you to the record just before the current one in the list of records for the window that is open.

Next - A single triangle pointing to the right
Takes you to the record just after the current one in the list of records for the window that is open.

Last - A vertical line with the triangle beside it that is pointing to the right.
Takes you to the last record in the list of records for the window that is open.

Save - A floppy disk
Saves any changes made to the current record.

List - Multiple horizontal lines on top of each other with a downward arrow beside them.
Brings up a list of records for the window. You can use this window to quickly search for and pull up any record that was entered for the open window. The list will be sortable. Click within each column on the list to sort the records by that column.

Revert - A hand erasing something on a piece of paper.
Backs out any changes made to the record since the last save.
