How does the House Gas module work?

The House Gas Module allows you to bill people that use gas from your lines. You can allocate an amount of free gas to an owner. The software will track this free usage and bill them once they have used it up. The price of the House Gas Module is $995. I have attached some information on the House Gas Module.

What steps do you have to take to set up the House Gas Module?

How it works:

1. Setup Preferences
To setup your accounts and information to get started go to Edit> Preferences> House Gas tab. This is where initial setup information is defined to affect how the system works. In this screen you'll define your accounts for posting, as well as the default price, terms, extra charges and other options.

2. Setup House Gas Owners
To set up your house gas owners, go to Maintain> House Gas Owners. Use this screen to set up all of your owners, as well as define what owner is associated with what meter number. This is also where you define general information about the owner and their processing options.

3. Enter House Gas Meter Readings
To enter the counter values each month for your owners, go to Tasks> House Gas Tasks> House Gas Meter Entry. Use this screen to track reading and invoice dates, the reading from each month, and any price adjustments you need to make. If a mistake was made during a meter reading entry, you can delete the entry and re-enter it correctly by going to Tasks> House Gas Tasks> Delete a Meter Reading.

4. Receive House Gas Owner Payments
To receive owner payments for house gas invoices, go to Tasks> Receive Payments> House Gas Payments. In this screen you can select which owner you'd like to receive payment for. You can enter the amount and select which bank account you'd like to enter the payment into.

5. Reports Available
To view any of the reports that come with this module, go to Reports> House Gas Reports.

1. House Gas Owner Listing
- This report gives the names and addresses for all house gas owners, as well as usage information.

2. Owner Usage Statement
- This report shows each owner's total usage for the current month, as well as totals and meter readings for each month prior to it in the year. If the house gas owner has used more than the allotted MCF, the statement is printed as the invoice.

3. Usage Report
- This report shows the total usage for the selected range of months for the specified group.

4. House Gas Route Report
- This report shows the owner names and addresses, meter numbers, description, date and value of the last reading. It also allows the entry of the current reading for a specified route, and allows the entry of new comments.

5. House Gas Receivables Report
- This report shows any outstanding balances for owners as of a given date.
