I have entered all the pertinent data and am ready to input the production receipts. Am I able to do a test distribution (using perhaps two production checks) so that I can feel comfortable that I've entered everything correctly? I would then like to add the rest of the production checks before doing the actual distribution for the month.

Yes, you can do a test run.

You can enter only a couple production receipts to make sure everything processes correctly. You can view reports before you close a run to see how they look. If they look good you can close the run and review the checks and reports again after the run is closed. If all is good then you can easily open the run back up from the utilities menu to enter the rest of the data then close the run again. You can close and reopen the run as many times as you need until you are positive everything works out correctly.

After you have sent any checks or reports to an owner then you should not open the run again. So as long as you do not mail anything out for the run you can do as much testing by opening and closing the run as you need.
