Integration Problems

Missing Accounts:
If an account that was specified as an account to use in SherWare is no longer in your QuickBooks company chart of accounts, then it will appear blank. An account will also appear blank if it has never been specified. You will have to choose another account to use. To verify that all accounts chosen are valid, select Validate Account Links from the SherWare Utilities menu. This utility will compare all accounts currently selected, and verify that they appear in the chart of accounts with the currently integrated QuickBooks company. If they are not valid, SherWare will display a QuickBooks Account Problems report describing which accounts are invalid, and where the account selection is located.

QBFC Errors:
Refer to the QuickBooks Interface topic.

'An integrated application is currently sharing data with QuickBooks. Please wait until the application is finished and try again.'
Typically this message is received when you try to open a version of QuickBooks that SherWare is already integrated with invisibly in the background. If you want to open QuickBooks in the foreground, you'll need to close the connection with QuickBooks within SherWare, or close SherWare completely. If you have multiple versions of QuickBooks installed on your computer, you may open other versions other than the one that SherWare is already integrated with invisibly in the background.

'QuickBooks Error: Could not start QuickBooks'
This message is received if a version of QuickBooks is open other than the version for the QuickBooks company specified in Company Information. For example, if the company SherWare is to integrate with is a QuickBooks Pro 2006 company, but you already have QuickBooks Pro 2008 open on your workstation, the above message would appear. In this example, QuickBooks Pro 2008 must be closed, and then you can choose Connect to QuickBooks from the SherWare File menu.
