Modify Reports

This menu allows you to modify various reports that are available in the software.

Refer to the Report Designer topic for instructions on modifying each of the formats.

BACKUP!
It is very easy to make mistakes when adjusting the margins or changing some of the fields that overlap. Create a backup of the format before attempting to make changes. This ensures you will be able to quickly get back up and running if you need to reverse some of the changes. Create a backup of both the .FRT and .FRX files for the respective report format. These files will be found within the Rpts folder.

Modify Owner Statements
The Owner Distribution Statement can be modified from this menu. Various options affect the statement and determine which format will be used. Determine which format you generally use and make the desired changes to it. If you will regularly use multiple formats then make changes to all that you will use.

If you are not sure which format to edit you can start with the top one as it is most common. Make a small change to it, like adding "test" to the top of it. Save and close the format then preview the owner distribution statement to verify that your change shows up.

The options that affect which statement is used are all located on the window that appears when running the report are; "Prepare For Duplex Printing", "Subtotal Expenses By Tax Section", and "Print Compressed Statements". Each format is listed below along with the related options.

Modify Labels
Allows you to modify the owner labels that will fit on pre-printed label forms. The labels will be in 3 Columns of 10 rows which will fit the Avery 5160 template.

Modify Owner Stub Statement (dmrostub)
Allows you to modify the Owner Stub Statement. This will not affect the check stub, only the report found under the Owner Reports menu that can be used in place of the stub.

Modify Owner JIB Statement - (dmrojibcust)
Allows you to modify the owner Joint Interest Billing Statement. This format will be used when the Sort Order is specified as "Exp Section, Prod Prd, Expense Code, Vendor" on the window that you preview the report from.

Modify Owner JIB Statement (2nd Sort) - (dmrojibcust1x)
Allows you to modify the owner Joint Interest Billing Statement. This format will be used when the Sort Order is specified as "Exp Section, Expense Code, Prod Prd, Vendor" on the window that you preview the report from.

Modify Owner JIB Summary by Category - (dmrojibsumcatx)
Allows you to modify the "Billing Summary By Expense Section" that will be included on the Joint Interest Billing Statement at the end of each owner's statement. This will only be added to the Joint Interest Billing Statement if the option is marked to "Include Billing Summary" on the window that you preview the report from.

Modify Owner JIB Summary - (dmrojibsummx)
Allows you to modify the "Summary By Well" that will be included at the beginning of the Joint Interest Billing Statement for each owner's statement. This will only be added to the Joint Interest Billing Statement if the option is marked to "Include Billing Summary" on the window that you preview the report from.

Modify AFE Owner Presentation - (afeownrpt1)
Allows you to modify the "AFE Owner Presentation/Cash Call" report that is sent to your AFE investors. The default statement is hard-coded into the software and can't be modified. If you would like to modify it then contact SherWare support and request the "afeownrpt1" formats. Once these formats are located in your reports folder then it will be used in place of the default format and you will then be able to modify it.

State Compliance Reports
Allows you to modify the various State Compliance Reports. You will only be able to access the report formats for the State Reports that you have purchased.

Division Order - (divorder)
Allows you to modify the well "Division Order" report. This format will be used when the option to "Put each interest on a page" option is not marked.

Division Order (1 Int per Page) - (divorder_single)
Allows you to modify the well "Division Order" report. This format will be used when the option to "Put each interest on a page" option is marked.
