You can see more information on each of the 1099 windows in the software under Help by Screen>Reports>1099 Processing.
Checklist of steps to complete the 1099 Processing
1) Make sure all of the setup options are specified.
2) Create the 1099s with the "Create 1099" window.
3) Review the information that will print on the 1099 with the "1099 Summary" and "Owner 1099 Reconciliation" Reports.
4) Make any necessary adjustments to the 1099s on both the "Update 1099 File" and "Update 1099 Detail File" windows.
5) Print the 1099s with the "Print 1099 Forms" window.
6) Create the electronic file to submit to the IRS with the "Magnetic Media 1099s" window if you are submitting your 1099s electronically. You will then need to submit this file on your own, or SherWare can submit your file for a fee.
7) Any requests for another copy of the 1099 can be printed using the "1099 Misc Replacement" window.
